From Ireland and based in Berlin, Rory Grubb combines documentary and portrait photography. Some of his themes include rural life, rivers and migration. His painterly compositions convey a strong sense of space and environment, and are sometimes cinematic. He built his own darkroom as a teenager, and has participated in photographic seminars at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin. Aside from photography his artistic practice crosses into music, graphic design and video.
He is also a musician: music here
